When an American grower, processor, and retailer of medical marijuana was rehabilitating an old industrial site for a new processing facility, they sought out new flooring to support their daily procedures. Restoring Damaged Concrete Floors with Durable, Seamless Solutions
The facility’s existing concrete was in poor condition – oil soaked, cracked, and uneven. Though the company considered simply sealing the concrete and painting the floors, experts at Stonhard explained the need to correct the underlying problems and noted that the paint would quickly peel away. Stonhard recommended Stonclad GS, a slip-resistant, easy-to-clean, seamless, high-strength epoxy mortar system.
Once the perfect flooring solution was determined, the customer had concerns about getting their facility up and running quickly. Stonhard immediately performed concrete bond testing and proceeded to install the Stonclad GS system with Stonkote GS4 coating in a timely fashion.
The flooring was installed throughout the entire processing plant, including grow areas, processing rooms, office space, and locker rooms. The customer was happy to have a long-lasting floor to safely support their staff and equipment.
